Joseph E. Simmons is one of today’s most gifted communicators offering a clear, contemporary, and creative teaching style that connects people with the life-changing principles of the Bible.

    A native of Kansas City, Kansas, Joseph E. Simmons became Pastor of Greater St. Paul Church in 1994 after holding various positions at Xerox Corporation for 10 years where he was awarded several leadership, management, and performance awards. Since he became Pastor, Greater St. Paul Church has become one of the most effective ministries in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area providing worship, fellowship, and Bible study opportunities to hundreds each week.

    From the very beginning, Pastor Simmons’ goal has been to raise up a church that represents the Kingdom with excellence and profoundly impacts the local community and beyond. His greatest desire is to see that dream come to pass by helping each individual experience a genuine heart transformation through a real relationship with Jesus Christ.

Educational Accomplishments

Pastor Simmons holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science (International Law) and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Kansas State University. With a mind set on law and ministry, he attended Howard University School of Law and The School of Theology, Virginia Union University of Richmond, Virginia, graduating with honors and a Master of Divinity Degree. He completed a Doctorate of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio with a concentration in Urban Economics.
